Del Mar Beach & Marina
Overview
Del Mar Beach & Marina is a military-only recreation area located on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. Operated by Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), the facility provides oceanfront lodging, RV camping, and marina access exclusively for eligible members of the military community.
Eligibility & Access
Use of the facility is restricted to authorized Department of Defense ID card holders and their approved guests. Visitors must enter through Camp Pendleton security gates. Individuals eligible under expanded patronage policies should coordinate with the base Visitors Center prior to arrival to ensure access approval. Gate hours may vary, and alternate entry points may be required during weekends or after standard operating hours.
Lodging & RV Camping
Overnight accommodations are located directly along the Pacific coastline. Beach cottages are available in one- and two-bedroom layouts and include kitchen facilities, a living area, and an outdoor patio equipped with a grill.
The RV campground offers more than 100 full hook-up sites, each equipped with 50-amp electrical service and sewer connections. Campsites are positioned near the shoreline, providing convenient access to the beach.
Reservations for future stays must be made through the official MCCS reservation system or call center. On-site staff can assist with same-day bookings when availability permits.
