Annapolis FamCamp

The Campground at Naval Support Activity Annapolis is a small, wooded military recreation area located on the North Severn side of the installation, across the river from the U.S. Naval Academy. The setting provides a quieter alternative to staying downtown while still keeping you close to Chesapeake Bay attractions and base amenities. Open year-round, the campground includes 14 RV sites along with a primitive tent area. RV spaces are built on concrete pads and provide water and electrical service (20-amp and 30-amp). Individual sewer connections are not available at each site; however, a central dump station is located on the property. A bathhouse with hot showers is available for guests, and Wi-Fi access is provided. Eligibility & Reservations Use of the campground is limited to authorized military personnel, retirees, reservists, eligible veterans, Department of Defense civilians, midshipmen, and approved family members. Reservations are required and must be arranged directly through the MWR Recreational Lodging Office or the Navy Getaways reservation line. Online booking is not currently supported for this location. Base Amenities & Nearby Access Guests staying at the campground have convenient access to the Navy Exchange, commissary, and gas station located on the installation. The Naval Academy Golf Course is within walking distance, and Carr Creek Marina offers boat and paddlecraft rentals. Additional recreation options include fishing areas, bike rentals, and an adventure challenge trail located near the campground. Important Planning Notes This campground fills quickly during major Naval Academy events, particularly graduation week and football weekends. Early reservations are strongly recommended, as lodging and parking throughout Annapolis become extremely limited during those periods. Due to the campground’s layout and access roads, larger rigs may find maneuvering more challenging.
