Overview
Cheatham Annex Outdoors & Cottages (CAX) sits along the York River in Williamsburg, VA, operating under Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. The RV park puts 50 back-in concrete slab sites at your disposal, each with free water and electric hook-ups. A bathhouse, coin-operated laundry, and a dump station round out the core setup. Beyond the RV sites, CAX offers primitive tent camping and standard tent sites, plus two-, three-, and five-bedroom cottages and townhouses for families who want a roof overhead. Fishing is available on-site, and CAX Outdoor Rentals has boats and bikes to keep the family moving. Historic Williamsburg and nearby attractions like Busch Gardens are a short drive away. Office hours run 8 AM–6 PM daily, with extended Saturday and Sunday morning hours during the summer season. Campgrounds are seasonal. 50 full-hookup RV sites (concrete pads, water/electric) plus primitive tent sites and 1–5 bedroom cottages, in the Historic Triangle near Williamsburg/Yorktown/Jamestown. Cash not accepted. Sponsored guests without valid ID need Pass & ID clearance 2 weeks ahead; foreign nationals need 3 months' notice. Check-in for RV/camping is with the camp host at Site #49.
