Fort Eustis Outdoor Recreation Campground
Overview
Fort Eustis Family Campground is a small, quiet 9-site travel camp on Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Newport News, Virginia, designed to blend into the flora and fauna around Fort Eustis Lake. Gravel sites offer easy lake access, with a 1-mile hiking trail and a dock and boat ramp within walking distance. It's open year-round with a dump station on-site, in the heart of Hampton Roads near the PX, commissary, and gyms. Fishing and hunting on base require a permit (register at jble.isportsman.net).

Very small (9 sites) and often occupied by long-term campers, so availability is limited. Reservations up to 6 months ahead with a $30 non-refundable deposit. Restrooms/showers are located by the base club (which can be noisy on weekends). Fishing/hunting permits required via jble.isportsman.net. Open to eligible military ID holders.
