MacDill AFB FamCamp
Overview
MacDill AFB FamCamp is one of the largest and most popular military campgrounds in the country, on the Interbay Peninsula in Tampa, right on Tampa Bay. It offers about 359 full-hookup sites with electric, water, sewer, and cable TV (plus optional phone service), around 21 partial-hookup sites with water and electric, and a tent area — split between the main campground by the base beach and a more spacious annex near the golf course. On-site are a marina with boat rentals, a white-sand beach, a camp store, two dog parks and a dog beach, laundry, and bathhouses. Central Tampa's beaches, museums, zoo, and deep-sea fishing are all close. Snowbirds pack it in winter, so full-hookup sites can require reservations up to a year ahead.

Bring RV registration, insurance, and pet shot records. Military ID required. Call (813) 840-6919 or 6920. Always confirm current rates and availability before you travel.
