Overview
Fort Sam Houston RV Park (FSH FamCamp) sits on JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, just five minutes from the heart of San Antonio — the Alamo, the River Walk, the Pearl District, and the San Antonio Missions are all a short drive away. The park offers 74 pull-through sites with full hookups (50/30-amp and 110v electric, water, sewer) on level concrete slabs, each with a picnic table, easily accommodating big rigs up to 45 feet. Two facilities each have a bath house and laundry room, and the park has propane for sale, a dog run, shade trees to cut the San Antonio heat, and access to a nearby pool and golf course, plus the base commissary, exchange, and gas station by the main gate. Part of the JBSA recreation network alongside Lackland, Camp Bullis, and the Recreation Park at Canyon Lake. Some long-term campers stay here, so it can feel full at peak times, and there's occasional railroad or aircraft noise.

Important Info
RV only — no tent sites. Located at 4028 Petroleum Dr, Bldg 3514. Office hours: Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, weekends 10:00 AM–3:00 PM (limited service), closed holidays. Enter via the Harry Wurzbach Road front gate — some back gates have tight clearance barriers that are difficult for large rigs, and gate hours/closures change (check jbsa.mil/Gate-Hours before arriving). Open to active duty, National Guard, Reservists, retirees, DAV, and DoD civilians with valid military ID. Call (210) 221-5502 to reserve and confirm current rates.
