Goose Creek Campgrounds

📍 Patuxent River, MD ✔ Branch: Navy 🏙 NAS Patuxent River

Overview

Goose Creek Campground sits on NAS Patuxent River in southern Maryland, managed through the West Basin Marina. It runs 14 sites with water and electric hookups sized for RVs up to 40 feet, plus 20 primitive sites that work for tent camping or smaller campers — several of those sit right on the water. A comfort station is on site, and fishing and crabbing areas are within walking distance. The base also has a boat ramp available to campers. NAS Patuxent River is home to naval aviation test and evaluation operations, and the surrounding waterways make this a practical stop for anyone who wants to fish or get a boat in the water. The campground is open year-round. Reservations go through the West Basin Marina directly at (301) 342-3573, online at GetDoDLodging.net, or by calling 1-877-NAVY-BED. A valid eligibility ID is required at check-in. If you're bringing unaffiliated guests or are a veteran without current affiliation, complete the SECNAV 5512 form before you arrive.
