Fort Belvoir Travel Camp
Overview
Fort Belvoir's Travel Camp sits along the Potomac River, about 30 minutes from Washington, D.C. It runs year-round, seven days a week, and offers 52 RV sites on 40-foot concrete pads — a mix of back-in spots along the woodline and waterfront, plus pull-through sites in the center. Every site has a picnic table and fire ring. Current nightly rate is $60 per site. The camp connects directly to water and sewer at each pad, with 20/30/50 amp electric service and WiFi. Coin-operated washers and dryers, family restrooms, and showers are on-site, though as of April 14 the bathhouse and laundry facilities are under renovation with no set end date — confirm status before you arrive. Two ADA-accessible fishing piers and Castle Park, which includes a playground and volleyball, are within walking distance. Reservations go up to one year out and require full payment. Cancellations need to be made at least seven days before check-in for a full refund. Access requires a DoD ID or a visitor pass arranged through the Fort Belvoir Garrison installation access page. Call (703) 805-3081 Wednesday through Monday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to book or verify current conditions.
