Edwards AFB FamCamp

📍 Edwards, CA ✔ Branch: Air Force 🏙 Edwards AFB

Overview

Edwards AFB FamCamp sits on Edwards Air Force Base in California's high desert near Lancaster and Mojave. It offers roughly 52 hardstand full-hookup sites (36 original plus 16 added in 2022 on the outer perimeter), each with a picnic table and grill, arranged in a loop around a central clubhouse with showers, laundry, a lounge, and fitness equipment. Primitive tent and overflow sites are also available. The FamCamp is next to the base family pool and within walking distance of the commissary and exchange, with base recreation including a golf course, bowling alley, and a rock-climbing wall. Note that many original sites have become long-term residences, so day-visitor availability is often limited to the newer perimeter sites.
