Dover AFB FamCamp
Overview
Dover AFB FamCamp is a small, quiet campground on Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, just 45 minutes from the Rehoboth and Dewey Beaches. It's an intimate spot — 10 full-hookup sites with 20/30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer, each with a picnic table and grill, plus overflow dry sites when full. A modern bathhouse with showers, coin laundry, and a dump station serve the campground, and there's a playground and walking trail nearby. The Oasis Pool (opened 2023) adds summer fun with events, and the base offers extensive equipment rentals from kayaks to camping gear. Cherry trees bloom on the grounds in spring. Aviation fans will enjoy the active C-5/C-17 runway and the nearby Air Mobility Command Museum.
