Whitetail RV Park

📍 Bowling Green, VA ✔ Branch: Army 🏙 Fort A.P. Hill (Fort Walker)

Overview

Whitetail RV Park sits on Fort A.P. Hill near Bowling Green, VA, roughly midway between Richmond and Washington, DC. The park runs year-round and has 30 full hook-up sites — 8 pull-through and 31 back-in — each with water, sewer, and 20/30/50-amp electric on an asphalt pad with a picnic table. A bathhouse and laundry facility are on-site at the RV Service Center. WiFi is available, though only outside the Service Center building. A pond with a boat ramp is within walking distance, and fishing is part of the outdoor recreation program on post. Fort A.P. Hill is an Army training installation, so access follows standard DoD eligibility rules. Nightly rates are $35 through September 30, 2025, rising to $40 starting October 1, 2025, with separate peak and off-season stay limits. Reservations are strongly recommended and run on a first-come, first-served basis otherwise. Call Outdoor Recreation at (804) 633-8244 to book or to confirm current access requirements before you head out.
