Lackland FamCamp
Overview
Lackland FamCamp sits on the southwest side of San Antonio on JBSA-Lackland, behind the Wilford Hall Medical Center at Bldg. 2804 on Foster Avenue. It offers 41 full-hookup sites — recently upgraded so all sites now have 50-amp (as well as 30/20-amp) electric, water, and sewer — including about 13 pull-throughs, on paved sites that accommodate big rigs. A 24-hour coin laundry, clean restrooms with showers, picnic tables, grills, a dog park, and vending machines round out the amenities, with the base commissary, exchange, and services close by. It's a quiet, secure, well-managed park despite all the base activity, and a popular choice for families attending Air Force basic training graduation. You're a short drive from the Alamo, the River Walk, and the rest of San Antonio.

Office hours Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, weekends 10:00 AM–3:00 PM (limited), closed holidays. Navigation tip: GPS can route you to gates that restrict access — the gate nearest the base hospital (or the Growden Commercial Gate for large rigs) is the reliable entry; call ahead as construction sometimes closes gates.
