Manatee Cove FamCamp
Overview
Manatee Cove FamCamp sits directly along the historic Banana River on Patrick Space Force Base, on a barrier island in Cocoa Beach — the Atlantic to the east, the river to the west, just south of Kennedy Space Center and about an hour from Orlando's theme parks. It's one of the larger, more popular military campgrounds in Florida, with about 156 full-service RV sites (30/50-amp, water, sewer), including riverfront sites, plus around 10 primitive tent sites. The wooded setting is unusual for coastal Florida, and wildlife is abundant — manatees, dolphins, and ospreys along the waterfront. On-site and on-base: two laundry/shower facilities, a 24-hour community center, a private beach, fishing pier, marina, pool, golf, and a full rental store (kayaks, boats, surfboards, camping gear).

Important Info
No WiFi or cable (strong over-the-air reception; community center has internet). RVs must enter via the truck/trailer inspection gate at School Ave and Hwy A1A (closes around noon on holidays/weekends; call the desk sergeant after hours). Placement is first-come, first-served except for active duty, who get priority; November–February runs near capacity, so call ahead. Cash not accepted (credit card). Two-pet maximum with rabies certificate; certain "aggressive" breeds prohibited. Bring paper vehicle registration. Call (321) 494-2042.
