Scott AFB FamCamp

📍 Belleville, IL ✔ Branch: Air Force 🏙 Scott AFB

Overview

Scott AFB FamCamp sits in a small, woodsy area of Scott Air Force Base near Belleville, Illinois — an easy base for exploring St. Louis, just across the river (the Gateway Arch and Busch Stadium are close). It offers about 22 back-in blacktop sites with water and 30/50-amp electric (no sewer at sites, but a dump station is available), plus a dry-camp overflow area. Facilities include modern, clean restrooms, private showers, and a laundry room. It's one of the few Air Force FamCamps that takes reservations, at very reasonable rates. There's a fishing pond right next door (base permit required) and a golf course close by; the base dining facility is well-liked and inexpensive.
