Onslow Beach Campground
Overview
Onslow Beach Campground sits on a barrier island aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean in eastern North Carolina. Its 40-plus full-hookup RV sites are grassy and spread along the waterway, each with a covered picnic table, just a short walk from the ocean and a small on-base exchange store. The recreation area also includes rental cottages and lodges, guarded swimming (Memorial Day through Labor Day), a fenced dog beach, laundry facilities, and coin-operated bathhouses. It's a popular, highly rated coastal getaway for Camp Lejeune, MCAS New River, and MCAS Cherry Point personnel, with campers often booking extended stays.
