Overview
Navy Lake Site Allatoona is a 52-acre MWR recreational area on the shore of Lake Allatoona, about 30 minutes north of Atlanta near Acworth, Georgia. The address is 166 Sandtown Road, Cartersville, GA 30121. RV sites offer 30/50 amp partial hookups with water and electric, and a dump station is on-site. The facility also includes cabins, a primitive tent area, boat docks with rental slips, a boat ramp, laundry, playgrounds, picnic tables, and free Wi-Fi. The park office is open Thursday through Monday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — closed Tuesday and Wednesday. This is a cashless location; all major credit cards are accepted. Access is open to active-duty military, Reservists, retirees, DoD civilians, family members, and their guests. Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance for active duty and Reservists, and six months out for retirees and DoD civilians. A valid ID card is required at check-in.
