Pine View Campground

📍 Fort McCoy, WI ✔ Branch: Army 🏙 Fort McCoy

Overview

Pine View Campground sits on Fort McCoy in west-central Wisconsin, roughly 1.6 miles west of the Main Gate off Hwy 21, between Sparta and Tomah. Campsites run May through November, with electric-water-sewer, electric-only, and non-electric options available. Cabins and lodging units are open year-round. Ten full hook-up and electric-only sites are held each week exclusively for Active Duty military who can't pre-arrange due to mission requirements — any unreserved spots from that block open to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis each Friday. The campground carries a serious amenity load: laundry, restrooms and showers, playgrounds, picnic tables, fishing access, and pet-friendly sites. Rental equipment ranges from kayaks and paddleboats to bikes and fishing poles. A swimming beach operates daily 10 am–6 pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Online reservations for 2026 campsites are available through the MWR site. All other bookings — lodging units, trailers, current-year sites — require a phone call. Call (502) 898-3517 to confirm availability, access eligibility, and current rates before you head out.
