Lotts Island Campground & Marina
Overview
Lotts Island Campground & Marina sits on Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA, operated by the installation's Outdoor Recreation program. The RV section offers 15 full hook-up sites with 30/50 amp electric, water, sewer, a dump station, grills, and picnic tables. Nightly rates run $25 for seniors with a Golden Age Access Pass or America the Beautiful National Park Pass, $30 for Active Duty Soldiers, retirees, DoD civilians, and 100% disabled veterans, with a monthly rate of $700. Maximum stay is 30 days. The campground also has 5 primitive tenting sites and 5 primitive RV sites with water and picnic tables at $8 and $15 per night respectively. On-site you'll also find a playground, basketball and volleyball court, and a boat ramp. Note that the fishing pier and cleaning station are currently closed. The facility is cashless, so plan accordingly. Reservations are required — walk-ins aren't guaranteed. Check-in during business hours happens at Bldg. 8453; after hours, go to your site and square up the next morning. Lotts Island is open Friday through Sunday and Monday, 11:00am–5:00pm (Sunday 11:00am–5:00pm); closed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and federal holidays. Important Info
RV-only sites (no bathhouse/laundry at the campground — laundry available elsewhere on post) with concrete pads and dump stations at each site. 14–30 day stay limit depending on source — confirm current policy. Reservations accepted 30 days ahead with a 1-night deposit. Sharp ~145° turn just past the Rio Gate — tricky for long rigs, so plan the approach. Marina offers long-term boat slip docking.
