Round Pond Campground
Overview
Round Pond Recreation Area sits on West Point, the U.S. Military Academy's installation in New York. It runs from April 1 through the second weekend of November. The campground carries 28 RV sites with water and 30/50 amp electric, 4 pop-up sites, 20 tent sites, 8 mini log cabins, 2 ADA-accessible cabins, and a rental cottage — so there's a range of options depending on what you're hauling or how you want to sleep. On the water side, there's a trout-stocked mountain lake with an ADA fishing pier and a swimming beach. The main office rents kayaks, canoes, and mountain bikes, and sells firewood, bait, and ice. Other services include a coin-operated laundromat, a bathhouse with hot showers, a playground, volleyball and basketball courts, a sewage dump station, and a honey wagon pump service on Mondays. Stay limit is two weeks maximum. RV sites run $32 per night standard, with higher rates on Army home football and holiday weekends. Call (315) 774-9524 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to book. Verify your eligibility and confirm current availability before you make plans.
