Travis AFB FamCamp sits on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, centrally located among Northern California's popular destinations — about 24 miles from Napa, 38 from Sacramento, and 52 from San Francisco. The campground offers 70 full-service sites with electric (30/50-amp), water, and sewer on paved pads (no pull-throughs), accommodating RVs up to 44 feet, plus 7 dry campsites and 4 tent sites. On-site amenities include a bathhouse with showers, a credit-card laundry facility, a dump station, cable TV, WiFi, and beverage and water-dispensing machines. It sits right by the main gate, within walking distance of the commissary and BX, and reviewers consistently praise the clean facilities and helpful office staff. Diesel is available on base.

Reservation requests must be submitted through the form on the campground's website at least two business days in advance: active duty up to 90 days ahead, retirees 60 days, all others 30 days. Maximum stay is 180 days per 365-day period. Office hours are 9:00 AM–12:00 PM weekdays, closed weekends and holidays. Pets allowed (max 2 per site, $35/night, certain breeds restricted, must be registered with the base vet clinic); $5 dump fee for visitors; 5 MPH speed limit strictly enforced.
